Ingredients

Burger buns4
Fresh ground beef4
Comté120 g
Red onion1
Gherkins120 g
Baby gem lettuce1
Tomato1
Wholegrain mustard4 tsp
Mayonnaise4 tsp
Butter1 knob
Olive oil4 tsp

Preparation

1.

Peel, then thinly slice the onion.

2.

Slice the gherkins lengthwise.

3.

Wash and slice the tomato into rounds.

4.

If needed, remove the rind from the Comté, then slice it.

5.

Melt a knob of butter in a pan over medium heat. Add the burger buns, cut side down, and toast for 2 minutes. Set aside.

6.

In the same pan, heat a drizzle of olive oil over medium heat. Add the beef patties. Season with salt and pepper and cook for 2 minutes on one side.

7.

Flip the patties and add the Comté slices on top. Cover and continue cooking for 2 minutes, until the cheese has melted.

8.

Assemble the burger buns by spreading mustard on the base and mayonnaise on the top. Layer the lettuce, tomato rounds, beef patty, onion and gherkins. Close the burger and enjoy immediately. It's ready!
